Why Side Sleepers Run Hotter
When you sleep on your side, your shoulder and neck compress against the pillow, trapping warm air in a pocket between your face and the mattress.
There's less natural airflow around your head than in back sleeping, and the pillow contacts more of your neck and cheek surface, meaning more heat transfers into the foam.
How the Groove® Air helps side sleepers
The 40 ventilation channels in the Groove® Air foam are positioned throughout the core, drawing heat away from exactly the areas a side sleeper contacts most.

This is my second Groove pillow but this time I've bought the air cooling version. Apart from the pillow cover, I'm not sure i can tell any difference to the original pillow. The smooth cover is softer and does feel cooler than the original one. However, it's the supportive shape that is most important for me. This pillow continues to enable me to sleep better and wake up without a stiff, sore neck and shoulders. I've spent hundreds of pounds on different pillows looking for the right one for me, the Groove pillow is the right pillow for me.

Even after reading the review I was sceptical as I have suffered with neck pain for years. I tried buying a new mattress and was scared to change my pillow as any alteration would result in worsening neck pain, dizziness etc. The first couple of days after using the pillow wasn't great and ended up with neck and back pain. After few more days have noticed a difference and hoping the improvement continues.

I bought this pillow as I have head and neck pain and caused by a bony growth on my spine pinching some nerves (cervical radiculopathy).
I’ve been using it for a month and I don’t know that it can change the condition long term, but it has been life changing in supporting my neck and head at night so I have a few hours of relief. Previously I have had no symptom relief in any position, but the shape of this pillow means I am at least pain free at night time because it supports your neck so well. The relief this pillow has brought for the price is kind of amazing.
